どうしてこのデザインにしたのですか？
What was the deciding factor for this design?
MY LITTLE PONY美少女を作る際にやはり悩むのは、BISHOUJO姿の服のデザインです。プリンセスケイデンスは「愛」の力と、初登場エピソードの結婚式がやはり印象的でしたので、天使や愛の女神を思わせるような、エンパイアドレスの要素を取り入れてみました。オリジナルのポニー姿のどことなくエキゾチックな目元がとてもかわいく印象的なので、BISHOUJO姿でも再現しています！
When making a MY LITTLE PONY BISHOUJO statue, the hardest part is always the clothes. Princess Cadance's power of love and the wedding scene in her first episode always stuck with me, so I wanted to incorporate elements of empire waist dresses that are reminiscent of angels and goddesses of love. Her eyes in her original pony design are also super exotic-looking and distinctive, so I made sure to recreate them in the BISHOUJO statue as well!
造形についてこだわったところを教えてください。
Which parts of the sculpt did you pay attention to most?
まずは何と言ってもドレスの皺です！すとんと落ちた美しいラインに注目です。製品でも、クリアパーツを活かしてふわふわ感や軽やかさを表現したいと思っています。髪の毛のデザインも見事にBISHOUJO姿に落とし込めたと思っています。ポニー姿でも、毛束を細かく造形することで、少しリアルな、造形としての面白さや美しさを更に再現した造形にしていますよ。
The wrinkles in the dress! The beautiful lines give the dress a natural flowing look. I also used clear parts to give Cadance's outfit a light and airy feel. I think we also did a great job of recreating her hair in the BISHOUJO style. Even for the pony statue, we sculpted the strands of hair in great detail to give her more realistic look that makes the statue more interesting and beautiful as a whole.

BISHOUJOシリーズはなんと昨年2024年に15周年を迎えた壽屋のフィギュアシリーズです！こんなに長くフィギュアのシリーズはなかなかなく、メインアーティストである山下しゅんや先生、そして世界中のファンの皆様の応援のおかげで続いてきたと思います。 「ジャパニーズテイストを世界に発信しよう！」というコンセプトはシリーズ当初からのものです。 15年の時を経て日本のホビー文化を取り巻く環境やフィギュア業界は本当に大きく変わりましたが、BISHOUJOシリーズが「キャラクターの新しい魅力」「素晴らしい作品」に触れるきっかけになってほしい、と思いながら作っています。 これからもぜひ応援していただけると嬉しいです！
Kotobukiya's BISHOUJO series celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2024! It's rare for a figure series to continue for this long, so we have to say a huge thank you to the main artist Shunya Yamashita and all the fans who have supported the series. The series has always been about putting a Japanese spin on characters, and in these last 15 years, the culture surrounding Japanese figures and the figure industry as a whole has changed immensely. But our hope that BISHOUJO figures will give fans a chance to learn about new series and see new sides to their favorite characters remains the same. Please, keep up the amazing support!
