Toys R Us Canada also revealed a second Platinum Edition Chinese New Year Transformer. The second Year of the Horse Transformer is a Year of the Horse Optimus Prime. The page on Toys R Us Canada was here, but has since started redirecting to the site's index. However, 2005 Boards member mapatel got a copy of the product description, which reads as follows:
The leader of the Autobots is back and more unstoppable than ever! Everyone will know that this mighty Year of the Horse Optimus Prime figure is the ultimate Autobot, because the Matrix of Leadership fits in his chest. He'll shred his Decepticon enemies with his Energon axe in robot mode, and flatten them in truck mode! Convert his trailer to a battle station with a maintenance dock, where you can store his ion cannon and Energon axe. Your Transformers adventures will be off the hook with this Optimus Prime figure!
What this suggests about this Optimus Prime is that:
- He has a Matrix that fits in his chest.
- He has the Energon Axe and an Ion Cannon
- He comes with a trailer which turns into a battle station and maintenance dock, and the trailer can also store the weapons.
With these facts in mind, there are very few existing Optimus Prime toys that fit this bill - leaving by process of elimination the most likely potential candidate for this release as a special Chinese New Year edition Masterpiece Optimus Prime 2.0.
As before no pictures are available, so this is speculation on our part, however once more news becomes available we shall share it with you here.

Toys R Us Canada has posted a pair of interesting preorder pages, revealing a pair of new Chinese New Year Platinum Edition releases. These "Year of the Horse" releases seem to be in the same vein as past Year of the Dragon and Year of the Snake special editions, if the descriptions are anything to go by.
The first of the two is, according to Toys R Us Canada, "TRA SUPREME STARSCREAM CNY PLATINUM". There's no product pictures or description, but the additional information suggests that two AA batteries are needed. An informed opinion suggests this might be, in the same vein as the Year of the Snake Omega Supreme, a Chinese New Year re-release of the Transformers Cybertron Supreme Starscream. He's priced just shy of $120 Canadian, and scheduled for a release on the last day of this year, 31 December 2013.
