開発秘話があれば教えてください。
Can you give us any backstory on this product?
元々は汎用マスクオプションセットという立ち位置の企画でした。 喜怒哀楽をテーマにしたマスクデザインがあったのですが嬉しそうに笑っているマスクが邪悪に見えたことから大勢で襲ってくるイメージのヴィランとしてゴブリンを思いつきデザインが進んでいきました。
The original plan was to create a universal mask set. We had designs based on emotions and facial expressions, but the smiling mask ended up looking evil, which gave us the idea for an evil goblin that attacks in hordes.
苦労したところはどこですか？
What was the hardest part of the process?
パーツとしてほしいデザインとキャラクターとしてのモチーフを上手く融合させることです。今回の場合は他のキャラと異なりマスクデザインを中心にキャラクターのモチーフを模索していったため複数の方向性で描かれておりかなり試行錯誤しました。
Successfully finding the balance between the design of the finished character and the design of individual pieces we want to use as parts. Unlike other characters, since we focused so heavily on the mask, we came at the character design process from various directions. It took a lot of experimentation.
